Finance Minister Etela Rajendar presented Telangana State Budget 2015-16 on Wednesday in the Assembly. After beginning Budget presentation with tributes to Telangana Martyrs, He claimed his Budget will fulfill the aspirations of 4 crore of Telangana people.

Top Priority – Welfare, Agriculture & Employment Generation.

Setback – Funds from Central Schemes have dropped & 14th Finance Commission’s recommendations of 42 percent of States Share in Central Funds willn’t be hugely beneficial for Telangana.

Telangana State Surplus Budget – Rs 531 crore

Total Budget – Rs 1,15,689 crore

Planned Expenditure – Rs 52,283 crore

Non-Planned Expenditure – Rs 63,350 crore

Salaries – Rs 22, 889 crore

Agriculture and Allied Sectors – Rs 8,432 crore

Farm Loan Waiver second installment – Rs 4,250 crore

Irrigation Sector – Rs 8,500 crore

Aasara Pension Scheme – Rs 4,000 crore

Minority Welfare – Rs 1,105 crore

Roads & Buildings – Rs 4,980 crore

Rural Roads – Rs 2,421 crore

Food Subsidy – Rs 2,200 crore

Mission Kakatiya – Rs 2,083 crore

Energy Sector – Rs 7,400 crore

Health Sector – Rs 4,932 crore

SC Sub-Plan – Rs 8,089 crore

ST Sub-Plan – Rs 5,036 crore
